Geo Tag Studio puts your photographs on the map and keeps their metadata in order.
Set or correct where a picture was taken, and the place name, elevation and time zone
follow automatically. Add keywords, titles, captions and named faces, and tidy up the
mixed IPTC and XMP data that years of different applications leave behind. Everything
is written as standard XMP inside the image itself, readable by Lightroom, Bridge,
Mylio and Windows.

Detailed Overview
Position comes first. Drop or drag a picture onto the map — Bing, Google, ArcGIS
or OpenStreetMap — and Geo Tag Studio looks up the place from GeoNames or Nominatim,
and the elevation and time zone from the lookup service you select. Those facts always
follow from the position, so moving a picture brings them with it.
Keywords, captions and faces are yours to add and edit. Faces are stored as named
regions in the standard format other photo applications read.
Years of different tools leave IPTC and XMP out of step, and data scattered in sidecar
files. Geo Tag Studio reconciles them into one embedded XMP record per photograph, and
never writes IPTC. It is built and used daily on a collection of some 20,000 images.
